Full Rehearsel

Yesterday we had a full rehearsel of our theatre. We came at 6pm. Kak Nurul bought pizzas for us. I LOVE PIZZA! Even though I only get to eat 1 slice, it was satisfying enough. Huhu. Then, after performing my Maghrib prayer I ate lots and lots of 'murtabak' with the Bachaes. I got to chat with them and know more about them. I think that was the first time I talked to one of the bachaes. (teruk tul) Anyway, the rehearsel started at 9pm. I was the camera-woman. It was fun but I got tired of standing too long. Some of the bachaes could not fit in the camera. I'm sorry guys, but you guys are sitting too far apart. But no worries, only one or two of the bacchaes was not in the camera.

From my point of view, yesterday's rehearsel was okay. Just okay, not good. Perhaps Jobie have to work more on the lighting. I mean he has to be more alert, when to switch it on and when to swith it off. As for the bachaes, they were good, it's just that there are times when they were not in character. Some of the bachaes need to work on their face expression a little bit more. Some were really good, but some was not satisfying enough. Takang was not fierce enough. He's a magician, he's supposed to be scary. Andak, I don't know why yesterday he seemed to lose his focus. I could see that he did not gave 100% during the rehearsel. He could have done much better than that. Okay, Ranang. How should I comment on Ranang? At the end of the theatre, the evil laugh was good. Erm...just need to improve on expression a bit. You know, at the beginning of the theatre Ranang is supposed to be very proud and hurt at the same time but I could not see that. He seems to be quite cool, which was contrasting from my expectations.

Okay, enough about the rehearsels. We had a surprise birthday celebration for Amy yesterday. Huhu~it was Anna's, Pajid's and my idea to do the surprise. THOUGH, I strictly highlight that we do not know ANYTHING about the eggs and flour. Seriously! kesian kat Amy..haha.. Never mind, it was supposed to be memorable and I do think it was. How many times a year people carry you and throw eggs at you? Sometimes even less than once. I've never had that experience, and I can not imagine having one! huhu~ On the whole, I really had fun last night. It was indeed tiring, but at the same time, I loved it! I got sleepy in class today but it's okay, I'll cover back what we studied in class during the raya holiday. (if I am rajin enough la) We are having our finals on teh end of October and our MUETs on the November. Wish me luck! I know I can do it, insya Allah..

Patience is a big word

This is the picture of the 'early days' of teater meeting.

Alright, patience is a big word. Do you agree? Regardless on how people's acceptance are to my statement, I still believe that it is true. Patience IS a big word. I do not know how can I express my thoughts in this blog. Week after week I saw how determined my seniors are in ensuring that the Bakai teater would be a blast. They were disciplined, and even though we; the juniors are very new to the theatre world, we were guided step after step. That is what I see every week. Some might be able to do it as been told, some could not. Nevertheless, they still worked hard because it meant a lot to them.

As a new member of the Bakai production Team, I know my voice is not loud enough to be heard. I am just a new member of the team. If only I have the power to lessen their burden. One after another obstacle comes and yet they are still patient. I know I am not the right person to say this but I do think that it is stupid to give up. I am referring to those who 'tarik diri dekat saat2 akhir'. They have been given the opportunity to actually be the actors/actress but they blew the chance just like that. There were people that really wanted their part but because they were not talented enough, they were not chosen. To those who already got the part, why give up?? 'Tak kenang dek untung betul. Memang la, tak boleh nak paksa kalo dahpelakon tu nak tarik diri. Kang paksa pun tak menjadi jugak. Tapi kalo dah masuk dalam satu team tue, kenalah komitted. Nak masuk tu pun atas pilihan sendiri. Bukan ada orang paksa pun. Pandai2 la nak hidup. Kalo susah, boleh belajar. Peluang datang sekali je. Hai..entahla.. Walau apa pun, aku harap diorang teruskan gak teater Bakai ni. Amin..

Why?

As part of bakai's production team, I do not have to come to HEP unless Koie tells me to do so. Though, I still come to HEP every Thursday. Usually I do not have much to do. Every week it's the same routine. I'll hear Ranang's loud and celar voice, watch the bakai's dancing and acting and if I'm lucky enough I'd get to see Takang/Kadmus or Andak to practice too. I'd have a chat with Sai and Fi, laugh at their jokes, share stories about our faculty and lastly when Pajid's work is done I'll go back with her. This week, I stayed with Pajid till 11.30p.m. (Luckily the gate to enter Mawar is not locked! Thank God!) Some people might say that I am just wasting my time there, trying to show my commitment even though I do not have anything to do. Well, let me tell you something, "You are definitely wrong!"

Why? It is because every second that I spent at the HEP meant a lot to me. I have always wanted to join the drama team. In fact, I wanted to join the drama team since I was in form one. Unlucky for me, in my previous school, (SMAP Labu) only the boys were allowed to join the drama team. Being a part of a religious school, I've always felt that there were so many things that I loved to do but I could not join just because I'm a girl. How unfair! The two clubs that I really wanted to join was the Nasyid club and Drama club. I seriously loved them both very much. Though, I was not allowed to join the two clubs. I envied the boys. They had more opportunity than us. I always felt jealous to see how good they were in the drama team. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, the drama team acted for an English drama. That was also why I was eager to join them. (Really love anything related to English)

For four years, I held my feelings to myself. I never expressed what I felt because I know my voice was not loud enough to make them change the condition that have been done for the past 24 years. Suddenly, when I was in FORM FIVE, Sir Azizi decided to take the GIRLS in the drama team. He was fed-up with the boys so the girls had their chance. Unfortunately, I was in Form 5 so I was not allowed to join the drama team. (Sigh~!) Geram sangat masa tu!! Even the Nasyid team has stepped forward. At last, girls were allowed to join the Nasyid team. Again, I was not allowed because I was a form 5 student. I felt like jumping from the fifth floor at that time. Every time I heard them practising for drama and nasyid my heart hurts. I felt so jealous and irritated. Everyone praised them but I never joined them. I was just too hurt that I did not get my chance.

When I enter UiTM, there were only two clubs that caught my attention. The Drama Team and The Debate Club. Why debate? Because that was the club that I joined inspite the fact that I could not join the Drama Club or the Nasyid Club. I have the basics in debate. I'm pretty sure that I could shine a bit in debate club. But, finally I chose the Drama Club. Don't ask me why. You should know the answer if you read what I wrote up there.
The first day at HEP, "Wow!!". "This is amazing!" This is what I've been wanting to do since I was in form one. At last, I could do it! Without any pressure, without any forces and without feeling the sligthtest regret in myself. Even though I do not know any of the production members, I'm thankful that Pajid could tell me who is who. At least, there was someone to tell me who they were. I do not know why I love acting very much but I do know that I've loved drama even before I was in high school. Watching a great drama produced by A Samad Said made me fell in love with drama. The 1st time I watched drama was when I was in primary school. I watched 'Siti Zubaidah' and 'Bila Bulan Retak". See, I could remember it till today. That happened almost ten years ago. Those two drama were GREAT!

Back to the question why. Why do I feel that I am not wasting time every Thursday? It is simply because, I realised that there are so many things that I learn just by coming every week. Even if I have nothing to do, I could still learn something.

  1. I learned that acting is not as easy as it seems,
  2. I learned that commitment and attitude is a big responsibility,
  3. I learned that body language plays an important role if you can not communicate orally,
  4. I learned that being honest with yourself is very rewarding,
  5. I learned that I should not be shy to express myself,
  6. I learned that being in a team is very fun,
  7. I learned that emotion can be expressed in many ways

and many, many other things that I couldn't write any longer because I have a class to attend in another half an hour. Hehe..Let's jump to the conclusion!

Spending my time at HEP every Thursday felt like heaven to me because finally I am able to do something that I like, I am able to spend time with my friends in drama team, I am able to learn a lot of things and also the main reason is, I GET TO SPEND MORE TIME WITH MY BELOVED FRIEND, PAJID.

I'm proud to have a friend like her and I am willing to spend my precious time with her. Plus, I've always loved drama so it's like shooting a bird with two stones. v(^o^)v Alright, so don't feel sorry if I do not have anything to do at HEP every Thursday. I never felt burden to come and I really enjoyed being part of Bakai's Production Team!

What's new?

Hm..what's new? I dunno. That's my answer. Malaysian studies' test was a disaster! Even the college study skills test was not so convincing to me. Urgh~ Plus, we also have to sit for islamic studies' test next week, not to mention the dued listening & speaking test. Hm..what is wr0ng with me actually? What has happened to the high spirited girl that wants to get 4.0 for her CGPA and ban6 for her MUET? I guess sometimes things do went out of pace. I was not satisfied with what I did with my two tests, I h0pe I can cover up everything with my assignments & attendances. So far, I am quite satisfied with my Computer Literacy assignment, BUT I still don't know what's the lecturers point of view. Hopefully he likes it and will give me full marks! Aha! I'm VERY worried about our Islamic Studies' test because I don't know how's the format gonna be. From she told us, we have to memorize all the dalils and hadiths. Oh wait! I forgot! The test is dued after Raya! Haha! How could I forgot that? Never mind, I still have lots and lots of things to do, such as:

  1. Preparing the power point for Malaysian Studies
  2. Start doing assignment 2 Computer Literacy
  3. Start doing islamic studies' assignment
  4. Doing the soft copy for grammar assignment
  5. Preparing for College Reading's journal
  6. Preparing for Listening & Speaking Group Discussion

Okay, that's what I have in mind so far. Maybe something will come later. Believe me, IT WILL! Huhu~okay, I wanna read Stacy's blog. Bye~

Relieved, really..

I have settled my problem with my friend..Thank God, I feel so relieved. I've been keeping it to myself for almost a week! Lastly, because today's my birthday I settled it with her last night. Thank God (again) she can accept what I said. I don't feel good to have problems with my friend, so I've been quite miserable for a few days. Now that it's over, I'm so relieved. By the way, today's my birthday! Hehe.. Happy BIrthday to me..
